Westville Pub To Launch New West Asheville Brewery

The Westville Pub has been a fixture along Haywood Road for fifteen years, back before West Asheville was cool. Catering primarily to “Westies,” folks who never seem to leave West Asheville, the pub has developed a strong local following due to the bar’s great beer selection, good food and live music.  Pretty soon those dedicated locals will also be able to enjoy beer produced right at Westville.

Triple Seven Brewhouse, taking its name from the Westville’s 777 Haywood Rd address, hopes to open later this year.  Original plans include a five barrel brewhouse to be installed in space adjacent to Westville that currently houses the Center for Holistic Medicine.  The goal is to produce enough beer for Westville’s clientele, and will feature a fairly traditional lineup of well-made craft styles to start.

Triple Seven already has its brewing licenses in place, which means that as soon as construction is finished they should be up and brewing.  Triple Seven will join the growing list of brewery options on the Westside that include Upcountry, Oyster House and the brand new Archetype Brewing on Beecham’s curve.
