Why Take A Brew Tour in Asheville?

Asheville’s modern brewing industry began in 1994, when Highland Brewing delivered its first kegs of Celtic Ale (now known as Gaelic Ale). Since then, more than 40 brewery tasting rooms have popped up, making Asheville one of the leading craft beer cities in the entire United States!

Asheville’s craft beer scene is more than just the breweries. It’s also about the people who make and enjoy the beer. Asheville is a town known for it’s great food and great art. Beer is somewhere in between! On any given Saturday afternoon, it isn’t unusual to see Asheville’s brewery tasting rooms full of happy beer drinkers, including families and dogs. Taking a brew tour in Asheville is a great way to experience this culture firsthand.

By taking a brew tour with BREW-ed Brewery Tours, you’ll get an insider’s look at Asheville’s craft beer scene and learn about the history, culture, and brewing process behind Asheville’s best beers. What To Expect On A BREW-ed Brewery Tour

Knowledgeable guides

Every one of our tour guides has earned certification through the Cicerone Certification Program, the beer world’s equivalent of the sommelier program for wine, and they are passionate about sharing their knowledge with you. They will guide you through each brewery, giving you an inside look at the brewing process and helping you understand the unique characteristics of each beer.

Small group tours

We believe that smaller groups make for a better tour experience, which is why we limit our tours to no more than 14 people. This allows for a more personalized experience, as well as more opportunities for questions and interaction with the guide. For larger groups, please ask us about our private brewery tours.
